Other types of volcanoes that are found on Venus are pancake volcanoes. These are eruptions of very thick lava and coronae, seemingly collapsed domes over large magma chambers.
There are no small craters on Venus. Scientists think this is because meteors burn up in it's dense atmosphere before it can reach it's surface.
The oldest terrains on Venus seem to be 800 million years old! Most of Venus' surface consists of gently rolling plains which make up 65% of it's surface and broad depressions, also known as planita. The planita make up 20% of Venus' surface. There are two large highland areas, or Terra on Venus; Ishtar Terra and Aphrodite Terra (both of these are the Greek and Babylonian version of the goddess of love and fertility.) These make up 10% of the surface.
